Isis is the female model we worked with to imagine Celina, the heroine of Irena Genesis Metal Fury. We had the honor and the pleasure of meeting her for a while to celebrate the Kickstarter campaign together. This was the opportunity to ask him a few questions in order to carry out an unpublished interview for the White Ninja Studio site.

Hi Isis, I'm very happy to be with you today to make this interview. Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you like in life?

Hello, I'm also delighted to take this interview. My model name is Isis, from my middle name chosen by my grandmother. I was born in France and i living in Japan for almost a year and a half. My passions revolve around travel, cooking and sports such as dancing or volleyball or indoor training.

Players discovered you during the Kickstarter campaign of Irena Genesis Metal Fury, because we had intentionally waited for this great moment to reveal your participation. Would you like to continue working with us on new games featuring Celina or another female character?

Before living in Japan, I used to enjoy spending time in single player games, controlling female characters in the lead role. So it’s with great pleasure that I would like to continue working with the team for scenes with Celina or incarnation of other female characters.

What cosplay have you done before?

I haven't done much so far, but in France my first cosplay was Lara Croft from Tomb Raider Legend (2006)

Can you describe your typical fitness session ?

When I was a child, I did judo for 5 years. It gave me a certain structure on my upper body so my typical session is to focus primarily on the lower body to balance my figure. I also work the abs and the triceps.

For the lower body, I mainly work the glutes with exercises like Hip Trust and Leg Lifts. I also do cardio, mainly running and rhythmic dance like afrodance.

What are your favorite sci-fi movies if you like the genre?

I would say Independence Day, Signs, Guardians of the Galaxy, Men in Black, Back to the Future, Predestination, Matrix and Inception

You are lucky enough to live in Japan now, what can you tell us about retrogaming there? SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive is popular with the Japanese?

I think you have to go from the game center side to Akihabara and Ikebukuro to discover all the influences of retrogaming in Japan. The Mega Drive remains a very popular console for retro game purists and expert here.

Retrogaming has become essential today even for a non-player. Can you tell us if you like retro games?

There is a retro console including several Mappy or Galaga like games that I really liked to play in France. We were far from the gameplay of our current gaming platforms but it's still a pleasure to play and it reminds a nostalgic feeling of many disputes with my brother, haha!

Let's tackle the hot question, are you more Nintendo or SEGA? What was your first console?

I would say Nintendo because I grew up with Nintendo from Nintendo Dsi to Wii before switching to Sony. Most of the games that I loved about Nintendo are games developed by Capcom or Cing.

You are one of those people who were able from the begining to see Irena Genesis Metal Fury evolve artistically and technically. What do you think of the project?

I was fortunate to have been able to learn about the game progress step by step and I saw all the technical and artistic work evolved since the project lauching. I was very happy and impressed to see the end result!

It seems obvious that you have a lot of talent for photography and we are very happy that you agreed to lend your image to make Celina. Could you share with us your goals and ambitions for the future?

I have an ongoing commercial project for the promotion of Haitian culture in Japan and the strengthening of its softpower. I started to move forward on this project for a month so it's still very young but it's about my future plan and my dream to achieve! On the model side, I continue to take freelance contracts in my spare time and hope to be able in this way to contribute to the representation of Afro-descendants in Japan.
